How to lead a calm and pleasant life? Cardinal rule – SIXTEEN

Image attribution: commons.wikimedia.org
What is simplicity? People may say it is relative to time and place. But there is one definition that remains unchanged. Simplicity is living with minimum requirements for a healthy life. In modern life there are things that build up as well as destroy a healthy life. The person who succeeds in right identification of both these categories of things and able to give up all that destroy a healthy life is a really a calm and pleasant man. Anyone who wants to practice it should start from identification of the right food that body requires. Man almost lost this inborn trait. Now the easiest way to learn it again would be to observe the food habits of wild animals.

How to lead a calm and pleasant life? Cardinal rule – FIFTEEN

While talking about harmony among various social institutions, we must admit the fact that too many institutions make the life painful. The habit of the modern world is to create separate institution for every individual need. In most cases, it turns out to be an act of hyper activism with little prudence. Ironically enough the systems that are being created for supporting the people itself make the life complex.  The root cause of tension in modern world is actually this wayward love for complexity. Therefore, never forget the fact that simplicity is the only fertile soil in which the seeds of harmony would germinate.

Practice it and make it a habit. Then the nature will make it sustainable by triggering necessary genetic engineering!

How to lead a calm and pleasant life? Cardinal rule – FOURTEEN

How harmony can be maintained among various social systems and institutions?’ has been a perplexing question in the modern world for long. A lot of time and resources are being expended unsuccessfully across the world for a solution. The reason for failure is the fact that people do not recognize the real solution.  Most often, it is the misinterpretation of powers by the functionaries of social systems and institutions that create tension in social life. Powers shall be identified as the right to provide better service to the society. It should mean improving the quality of duties and functions with respect to the well-being of the society rather than something for personal enjoyment. The efforts for bettering the delivery of duties and responsibilities shall produce a congenial environment for the harmony to flourish.

Think twice before cutting a tree

Rough estimations say that the quantity of Oxygen a grown up man requires is equal to the quantity of Oxygen produced by twenty two trees. An acre of trees are required to produce oxygen for 18 people!

The total quantity of oxygen in the atmosphere is 210000 ppm approx. Out of that a drop of 2ppm is estimated in every five year. It was believed that this drop is relatively insignificant. But is it really insignificant? Are we safe? – I fear we are not safe. It is this intuition that made me write about government supply of oxygen in the prologue to my fiction ‘IMANOFUTU’.

There are sufficient reasons for us to fear about. World population, deforestation and environment pollution are increasing in lightning speed.  You know, ten million trees are cut down daily! Before 1947  our planet was covered by 5 .9 million squaremiles of mature forest. Now it is around 2.9 only!!!

How to lead a calm and pleasant life? Cardinal rule – THIRTEEN; SMOOTH TRANSITION OF EDUCATION FROM FAMILY TO SCHOOL

Transition of the pivotal role of educating and nurturing the children from family to schools is very important as the children grow up. The first ever experience of schooling should be felt like an extension of the family for every child. This kind of smooth transition and synchronization in the early ages shall streamline the children’s mind suitably for a long journey. It also highlights the need for harmony among various social institutions starting from the family.
