When we say ‘commerce is also a social service’ we have to be clear that it is a ‘for-profit social service’. Making profit from a commercial activity for sustaining as an individual and entrepreneur as well as to keep the organization going and ever progressing is an acceptable motive as long as it contributes for social wellbeing. It means that the objectives of a commercial activity, its outputs, outcomes, percentage of profit and the usage of profit should always add value to the social wellbeing to make that commercial activity ‘acceptable’ and to classify it as a ‘for-profit social service’, which in turn contribute for a calm and pleasant living.
Practice it and make it a habit. Then the nature will make it sustainable by triggering necessary genetic engineering!
