Flying saucer is no more a myth!

Flying saucer and the aliens who drive it is a subject of greater curiosity for all age group individuals. There are thousands of stories on this subject. The first highly publicized sighting of flying saucer was by Kenneth Arnold, an American aviator and businessman, on June 24, 1947.

Though we did not get any opportunity, so far, to scientifically prove our alien friends from neighboring or distant planets visit us in flying saucers, NASA is all set ready to experiment a flying saucer.

The above image is a saucer-shaped test vehicle holding equipment for landing large payloads on Mars. NASA's public page says that the vehicle, part of the Low Density Supersonic Decelerator project, will test an inflatable decelerator and a parachute at high altitudes and speeds over the Pacific Missile Range this June.  A balloon will lift the vehicle to high altitudes, where a rocket will take it even higher to the top of the stratosphere at several times the speed of sound.

Definitely it is an interesting development as far as the shape of the flying objects are concerned. Will it trigger a change in design concept for aviation within the earth’s atmosphere as well?
